Webinar: UK Sanctions Policy and Compliance after the Transition Period

19th November 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

As part of the changes to the UK’s sanctions framework, existing EU sanctions regimes are being transitioned into UK law through regulations made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018. EU sanctions will no longer apply in the UK from 11pm on 31 December 2020.

The UK Government has been running a programme on readiness for the end of the transition period. We are pleased to invite you to a webinar for the international trade sector hosted by HMG officials to help you understand how the new legislation and processes might affect your work, and what you will need to do to ensure compliance with regulations.

Thursday 19 November, 09:00-10:00 GMT: International trade sector – Register here.

Speakers will include representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, HM Treasury, Department for International Trade and other government departments. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions to help you prepare for the end of the transition period.

Please register your interest via the relevant Eventbrite link above.

For data protection reasons, please ensure you register for an Eventbrite account, preferably using an official email address, so that you can opt out of Eventbrite using your data.

We look forward to hearing from you.  For further information on UK sanctions and compliance, please read GOV.UK guidance on current sanctions regimes, and the new legislation which will come into force from 11pm on 31 December 2020.
